The Carnival of Nice is one of the major carnival events, alongside the Brazilian and the Venetian ones. In fact, is one of the oldest carnivals of the world; the earliest records establish its existence in 1873. That is why, every year, it gathers a lot of tourists.
This year, Nice will celebrate the 140 years of today’s Nice Carnival: with, in 1873, the first spectacular floats creating processions, and also the grandstand seats… In fact, it became a real show as we know it today.
The 2013 Carnival of Nice will be held to February, 15th to March, 6th. Battles of flowers and parades will punctuate those weeks of festivities. Musicians and groups of dance come from the whole world to take part of this event. For its new edition the Carnival will be chaired by the King of the five continents and will welcome as the guest of honor the French-speaking Games.
